What to Expect
During the Reiki session, I will place my hands in various locations on your horse.  I will move about your horse.  Talk to me ahead of time to let me know things that would be helpful about his temperament.  If he spooks at certain sounds or doesn't like to be touched in a certain area, before I start is the time to tell me.

I prefer silence while working but will answer all questions later when I'm finished.  On rare occasion I might ask a question or two or share something during treatment but might not be able to answer if you ask me something.  I'm not deaf.  I'm not rude.  I'm trying to concentrate on your horse.  That's what you're paying me for.

You may watch, if you choose.  I prefer you to be there the first session, at least, to tell me anything relevant about your horse and his reaction to the treatment.  You know your horse.  I don't.  If you see him becoming overly agitated, let me know.  Bring some knitting.  I'm boring to watch work.

Expect an hour and a half for the first session, maybe longer.  After that sessions will usually last approximately an hour. Anytime I choose to go beyond your pre-established time, I am working that extra time for free.

Three sessions, one day apart, are often recommended for a first-time treatment schedule for horses.  I find this a great healing experience for your horse spaced as such, however I honor all budgets and abilities.  I understand this might not be possible.  Do what you can.

Before I start treatment, we will discuss why you called me out.  It is helpful but that might not be where the energy directs itself in the moment.  It is not uncommon for other issues to come forth which need to be dealt with first.  In other words, I know you want me to work on the ankle but that might not be the area (energetically speaking) presenting itself as most immediate.  Or perhaps a block in the hip must be cleared before the ankle can be worked on.

You should also know that sometimes a Reiki Master will get impressions, images, or words that come to her while working on a client.  I will make every effort to share these with you.  I will share them when I am done.

Note that I will respect your horse's right to decline the energy offered.  This happens on occasion.  If I feel the energy is being declined in that session, I will not force the energy on him.  I will not charge for the session, only any mileage due in such an event and we can re-schedule for another time.
